SASSA will likely be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is alarmed about the substantial number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The service point produced for intervention experiences a high inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to sassa status check a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more means to help the servicing of all shoppers and enhance access to Social sassa status Assistance services,” the agency said.
